Altium rykker tættere på ST
Altium har udvidet det såkadte AltiumLive økosystem med en bred palette af power management komponenter fra STMicroelectronics (in english).
Altium, developer of electronics design software and services, announces the addition of a comprehensive new range of board-level components from STMicroelectronics' Power Management catalogue to its online content delivery ecosystem, AltiumLive.
The announcement heralds further expansion of Altium's partnership program, which aims to forge collaborative relationships with a broad group of electronic component manufacturers and distributors.
The strategic partnerships ultimately allow Altium to deliver quality online content and services directly to Altium Designer users. Along with device manufacturers such as STMicroelectronics, Altium has also established relationships with parts suppliers and vendors such as Newark, Digi-Key and Mouser. This allows board-level components to include real-time supply-chain information, such as vendor choice, pricing and availability.
- Collaboration between Altium and parts manufacturers helps us produce high-integrity design IP for our customers, says Rowland Washington, Content Development Manager for Altium.
- We are pleased to be working with companies such as STMicroelectronics to develop an ever increasing range of third party libraries, templates, reference designs and other ready-to-use design content.
This latest update to the board-level component content available through AltiumLive has been developed in close collaboration with STMicroelectronics, and includes a comprehensive array of STMicroelectronics' energy-efficient Power Management devices. The new range adds to the STMicroelectronics components already available in AltiumLive's board-level component vault, which include the company's STM8 and STM32 family of microcontrollers, sensors and MEMS-based devices.
- The cooperative relationship between STMicroelectronics and Altium helps both companies deliver high-quality component data into the hand of designers during the critical design development phase. Providing our latest component content via online services linked to design software is a logical path forward, says Bill Raasch, STMicroelectronics VP Product Marketing Smart Power & High Performance Analog.
The new and existing STMicroelectronics components are available online through AltiumLive’s board-level component vault, one of Altium’s managed component repositories of ready-to-use design elements accessible through the AltiumLive portal. Users can directly access the components and linked supplier information from within Altium Designer, or by browsing to the AltiumLive Design Content area via the web.
