SIPLACE særdeles tilfredse med Productronica

SIPLACE udstillede på Productronica 2011 for første gang under det nye ejerskab som ASM Assembly Systems (in english).

For the SIPLACE team, the recently concluded Productronica was a great success. After its acquisition by the ASM Group in early 2011, the equipment maker presented its products and solutions for the first time under its new banner as ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG at the world’s leading trade show for the electronics manufacturing industry.

In the 'SIPLACE Challenge Arena', the team presented solutions for challenges from customers and show visitors 'live'. At the center of attention were SIPLACE’s latest placement equipment platforms as well as LED brightness class management with SIPLACE LED Pairing, the mobile and highly flexible SIPLACE Glue Feeder, SIPLACE Smart Pin Support, and flexible setup concepts. Many Productronica visitors also accepted SIPLACE’s invitation to learn more about current and future SIPLACE solutions at a special show hosted at the company’s Munich headquarters complex.

ive program was obviously well received by electronics manufacturers, because SIPLACE was able to conclude many deals with existing and new customers. 
 
- Even before the trade show we experienced not a reversal in the market after the catch-up years of 2010 and 2011, but a general stabilization in the industry, albeit at a high level. The large numbers of visitors and the great interest in the SIPLACE booth and at the SIPLACE In-House Show confirmed this trend, says a highly satisfied SIPLACE CEO, Günter Lauber, about the SIPLACE team’s results at Productronica 2011.

- After our acquisition by the ASMPT Group, we were able to increase our market shares in all of the world’s regions. One large reason for this success is the highly flexible SIPLACE SX placement platform, whose capacity-on-demand capabilities have made it a huge success. The large number of purchase contracts we were able to sign during the Productronica provide ample proof for this, he continues.
 
Successful under its new banner

After moving from Siemens to the ASMPT Group in early 2011, this Productronica was the SIPLACE team’s first under its new banner as ASM Assembly Systems GmbH & Co. KG. The company’s show program was challenges&solutions-oriented: In the 'SIPLACE Challenge Arena' customers in video-interviews and show visitors alike presented concrete challenges from their own production environment to the SIPLACE team and challenged them to come up with a solution 'live' and on the spot.  
 
To meet these challenges in the areas of new product introduction (NPI), setup changeover and production run, the SIPLACE team used an SMT line with highly flexible SIPLACE SX machines, modern SIPLACE heads and software options like SIPLACE Pro, SIPLACE Setup Center and SIPLACE Smart GUI.

New products unveiled at this year’s Productronica like SIPLACE LED Pairing for LED brightness class management or the mobile SIPLACE Glue Feeder, which replaces and entire glue station, were also demonstrated. The team also presented innovative non-stop product changeover concepts like SIPLACE Random Setup and constant or split feeder tables.

The concept of mastering everyday challenges 'live' on the show floor was well received and attracted large numbers of visitors. During many of the competitions, every seat in the SIPLACE Challenge Arena was filled.  
 
- The challenges enabled us to show how placement platforms, hardware components, software and services can be combined to provide the best available solutions for customers’ specific needs. Such ‘live’ demonstrations are not entirely risk-free, but they enabled us to show the reliability, flexibility and superior efficiency of our solutions more effectively than conventional trade show presentations. Even long-term customers were surprised to see what is possible with our new solutions, says Günter Lauber.
