Vodafone på Island vælger Rohde & Schwarz
Rohde & Schwarz' danske kontor står bag aftale om salg af radio- og tv broadcastning udstyr til Vodafone på Island.
Rohde & Schwarz will be Vodafone Iceland's main supplier of technology and equipment for radio- and TV broadcasting according to an agreement signed today.
Vodafone operates the biggest broadcasting system in Iceland - transmitting both radio and TV signals (UHF and MMDS). Vodafone Iceland broadcasts 8 FM radio channels and the TV network covers more than 99% of the population.
Vodafone will strengthen its broadcasting system in Iceland using Rohde & Schwarz products, starting at Klif in the Westman Island where old radio transmitters will be replaced with top of the line equipment. The TV network will be strengthened as well with new hardware from Rohde & Schwarz that will increase the system’s quality and operational security.
