RS udvider biblioteket med 3D CAD modeller

RS Components i forvejen omfattende bibliotek med 3D CAD modeller udvides nu med nye mekaniske modeller fra SMC, IGUS og Richco (in english).

RS Components today announced that it has significantly expanded its library of certified 3D CAD models of mechanical components.  In the last month, new models have been added from key manufacturers including SMC, IGUS, and Richco.  The library of free to download models offers 20 different file formats, enabling download to most CAD packages.

Following the launch of the RS 3D CAD model library in 2010 there has been in excess of 25,000 model downloads to-date. Visitors to the RS website can identify where a 3D CAD model is available for a product through a 3D flag in search. 


A single click to the product page then reveals a rotating 3D model of the part with links to 'classic' images to show details of colour or surface finish.  Registered users can download the model from the database, which is converted by RS into the file format selected by the user depending on their CAD package.  The service will be expanded further in the coming months when RS adds more CAD formats.
