IAR satser stort på Renesas MCU'er
IAR Embedded Workbench understøtter nu mere end 80 procent af Renesas Electronics ekstremt brede microcontroller program (in english).
By providing a single tool chain for well over 5,000 different microcontroller devices across 10 product families, independent tool vendor IAR Systems supports more than 80% of Renesas Electronics' microcontrollers. Stating that no other software tool vendor can match this, IAR Systems believes that this makes IAR Embedded Workbench the standard tool chain for software development on Renesas Electronics' microcontrollers.
The merger between NEC Electronics and Renesas Technology has created one of the world's broadest microcontroller portfolios, ranging from small low-power 4-bit devices to high performance 32-bit devices. Nearly all of these devices are supported in IAR Embedded Workbench.
Both new and existing customers can benefit from the flexibility in microcontroller choice and convenience by using the same familiar tools for different projects. Increased code portability between targets and less time learning new tools shortens project start-up time significantly and reduces project risks.
- Renesas Electronics has one of the widest selections of microcontrollers in the world. We are very proud to match the entire spectrum with our development tools, says Stefan Skarin CEO, IAR Systems.
- It allows our customers to standardize on one tool chain while keeping the flexibility to choose the hardware best fitting the needs of each project.
- IAR Systems' commitment to support all our different microcontroller families with the same tools is indeed unique, says Hisashi Takahashi, General Manager of MCU Software Division, Renesas Electronics Corporation.
