Modul til overflademontage kombinerer GPRS og GSP

SIMCom lancerer nyt GSM/GPRS modul med integreret GPS-funktionalitet (in english).

SIMCom has released the SIM908 module, which integrates GPRS and GPS in a compact SMT package. It is especially suitable for high integrated positioning solutions in automotive, tracking or security applications, which significantly saves both time and cost for customers to develop GPS enabled applications.
 
The assisted GPS receiver of SIM908 features an optimized power management function, which allows it to maintain hot start capability at minimal energy consumption and in a very short time(1S), offering variable assets to be tracked seamlessly at any location and anytime with signal coverage in a wide operation temperature range.


The module has strong extension capability with rich interface: SPI, UART, RTC, SIM, dual analog audio, charge, debug and two separate antenna connectors for GSM/GPRS and GPS respectively. All these provide more flexibility and ease of integration for customers’ applications.

Furthermore, the module is compatible with 3G module, SIM5320, which allows customer to design their application once for the two technologies and benefit from great development time-saving.
 
SIM908 module is a complete Quad-Band GSM/GPRS module which combines GPS technology for satellite navigation. The compact design which integrated GPRS and GPS in a SMT package will significantly save both time and costs for customers to develop GPS enabled applications.

Featuring an industry-standard interface and GPS function, it allows variable assets to be tracked seamlessly at any location and anytime with signal coverage.
