AAEON announces a brand new Half-size CPU Module with the PCI expansion interface, HSB-800P. The HSB-800P adopts the AMD LX 800 processor which features low power consumption at a competitive price. This product is an ideal choice for industrial control and automation applications.
 
The HSB-800P utilizes the AMD Geode CS5536 chipset and is powered by the AMD LX 800 processor. It comes equipped with 256MB DDR400 onboard RAM with an SODIMM socket that will allow for an additional 200-pin module, up to 1GB.

The integrated 2D graphics accelerator can share up to 16MB with the system memory for video memory use and supports simultaneous CRT and LVDS LCD displays at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. The HSB-800P can be connected to an Ethernet network using the onboard 10/100Base-T Realtek 8100C through the built-in RJ-45 connector. The P in the part number stands for the PCI card edge that is built into the half-size SBC, allowing it to be easily used in a PCI backplane for PCI device expansion.
 
The HSB-800P offers flexibility with I/O in the form of four RS-232 COM ports, one of which is configurable to be RS-422 or RS-485 and one of which terminates in a DB9 connector on the back plate. The SBC also has four USB 2.0 ports and a parallel port. A CompactFlash Type II socket on the board is designed to be used as for a bootable ATA device while the SBC also has a 40-pin IDE Ultra ATA100 connector, Floppy drive connector and two SATA I connectors to be utilized for system and storage devices.
