Embedded World: AAEON Europe, an ASUS Associated Company and the IXXAT - HMS group has announced a European strategic cooperation. As a first step both companies agreed to help customers close the gap between industrial and IT networking.

- Leading the industrial Internet of Things is our mission. Enabling the Internet of Things in industrial automation meant connecting machines to the cloud. However each machine speaks its own language, we as AAEON were providing the brain, our industrial box PC and Human-Machine interfaces, but we missed the language, says Fabrizio Del Maffeo – Managing Director AAEON Europe.

- By integrating HMS communication modules into our solution allows our products to control and communicate with the machines. As leader in embedded computing, we wanted to partner with the leader in industrial communication, which is HMS.

Mr. Christian Schlegel, Managing Director of IXXAT – HMS Group also believes that AAEON is the right partner:

- With each industrial communication 'revolution' the number of network types and protocols increased in the industrial communication markets. With our know-how on industrial communication built up in more than 25 years of business-operation, HMS is supporting more than 70 different networks in the meantime. With IIoT, which will likely be the next 'communication revolution' new challenges for our customers will arise. By teaming up with AAEON, we are glad to have found the perfect partner to help our customers close the gap between industrial and IT networking.

Moreover AAEON introduced several new products in the Transportation, Automation and Smart Metering markets. These products are ready to be integrated with HMS’ communication modules. Together these products allow our customers improved control over their production facilities and transportation vehicles.

- We are excited to introduce our Intelligent Gateway products for the Transportation, Automation and Smart Metering markets. We have new series of intelligent systems products as a part of our Internet of Things solution and ready for integration with the HMS communication modules. Integrating HMS communication modules into our intelligent systems gives us an opportunity to broaden our solutions and be in a business where we've never been before: the Automation Market, says Marlo Banganga, head of product management division, AAEON Europe.

AAEON’s expansion across Europe aligns with the company’s business strategy. AAEON will continue to approach and develop its operations in Europe, bringing both complementary product and complete vertical market application solutions. This expansion will involve actively recruiting personnel in Germany, Benelux, France and opening offices in the United Kingdom, Sweden and Poland.
