GPV vil bygge ny fabrik i Bangkok
GPV har med succes færdiggjort de første skridt i ny vækststrategi, og firmaet har i den forbindelse startet projektertering af ny fabrik i Bangkok (in english).
Since 1999 GPV has run its operations in the BangPoo Industrial Estate in Bangkok, Thailand in rented facilities. From this location the company services a growing customer base, and consequently the facilities are continuously being expanded.
- We have been happy with our facilities up until now, but we have concluded that we need to expand beyond what is possible at our current location. Consequently we have decided to build a new factory, which when completed in 2015 will double our EMS capacity, says CEO of GPV Group, Bo Lybaek.
As the first step GPV has acquired 32,000 sqm of land in the BangPoo Industrial Estate.
- We decided to remain in the BangPoo Industrial Estate since we find that it offers excellent logistics opportunities, has proven to be safe from flooding, and furthermore is the home base for our 700 people of highly skilled workforce.
The factory will be erected and taken into use in phases. When fully completed 2½ years from now, GPV has more than doubled its production capacity within EMS in Asia and established the foundation for expansion of our high mix/low to medium volume production within EMS and advanced mechanics.
