ROHM etablerer europæisk designcenter
Nyt europæisk designcenter med fokus på bl.a. LCD/LED drivere, power management, automotiv applikationer samt sensorer (in english).
ROHM Semiconductor today announced the creation of a new European Design Centre (EUDC) which aims to provide dedicated products, project management and design-in support to customers in Europe. The EUDC is located in Wilich-Münchheide in Germany and started operations from 1st September 2009.
- The new design centre will significantly expand our scope in offering innovative integrated circuits (IC’s) that meet the requirements of our European customers and – by being close to the market - define and maintain the right product roadmap for the future, said Dr. Michael Davis, Technical Director at ROHM Semiconductor.
With its proximity to customers, and backed by the expertise and resources of ROHM Japan, the EUDC will be able to deliver timely services, product design, and support to customers in all aspects of their design-in needs for ROHM products. Furthermore, it will enable them to have access to the latest technologies.
The European market is driven by the constant increase in features and the need to have a low power footprint in products, the mobile phone and automotive market are good examples exhibiting these trends, and ROHM Semiconductor is well positioned to supply solutions addressing these market trends.Given these market trends the product development of the EUDC will focus on LCD and LED drivers, Power Management, Automotive Drivers, EEPROM’s, Sensors and solutions for general lighting applications; whereby the resultant IC products will be found in the areas of mobile telephones, motor drivers, power management in consumer and white goods, and drivers for LED lighting applications in vehicles and buildings.
