Samarbejde om LED-packaging
Everlight Electronics, LG Display og AmTRAN etablerer fælles firma, der vil tilbyde LED-packages til LED/LCD tv-markedet (in english).
Everlight Electronics, one of the world's leading LED packaging companies has announced a joint venture for a new LED packaging company in WeJiang City, JiangSu Province, China with LG Display, a leading innovator of TFT-LCD technology, and AmTRAN Technology, a display manufacturer specializing in computer monitors and flat-panel televisions.
The three companies aim at pooling together their respective strengths to benefit from each others' advantages: Everlight's extensive and long-term LED packaging know-how and management expertise within the LED industry; LG Display's expertise as a world leading manufacturer of LCD display technology and products; and, AmTRAN's R&D and manufacturing experience in flat-panel TV - and share resources to rapidly provide state-of-the-art LED for the expanding LED-backlit TV market.
The new company is planned to start operations and mass production in the year's end with a capitalization of USD$ 30 million. Everlight is widely recognized as the technology leader in LED packaging. The joint venture confirms Everlight's importance to the fast growing LED backlight market.
