SIPLACE med mange nyheder

SIPLACE vil på SMT Hybrid Packaging udstillingen i Nürnberg præsentere en række ny produkter og koncepter - herunder en ny type jet glue feedere  (in english).

New product introduction (NPI), changeover, production run and maintenance will be the main attention-getters at the SIPLACE booth at this year's SMT Hybrid Packaging in Nuremberg from 8 to 10 May 2012.

With its SIPLACE Glue Feeder, the SIPLACE Smart Pin Support, SIPLACE maintenance concepts, SIPLACE Random Setup and SIPLACE Alternative Track, the company will present many hardware and software innovations. And to show how these options work and can benefit electronics manufacturers, SIPLACE will demonstrate them 'live' at its booth.

Customers and show visitors can present their real-life production challenges to the SIPLACE team, which will then try to come up with a solution 'liveø on a SIPLACE SX line. In addition to the trouble-free introduction of new products and fast setup changeovers, SIPLACE will also focus on the easy verification of machines, placement heads, vision systems and feeders.

The SIPLACE team will share its booth with ASM Pacific Technology (ASMPT), its parent company since early 2011 and a leading supplier of packaging and backend solutions.
Electronics manufacturing harbors many daily challenges which must be mastered not only reliably, but quickly and cost-effectively.

Large components must be affixed with glue, support pins must be set, prototypes must be set up and integrated into the production routine as efficiently as possible, and LEDs must be combined with specific resistors in accordance with their brightness class. At this year's SMT Hybrid Packaging show, the SIPLACE team will demonstrate how these tasks and many more can be carried out with SIPLACE platforms and their hardware, software and service options.

In front of a live audience and using a SIPLACE SX line, the SIPLACE technicians will present solutions for a wide range of challenges presented by attendees or customers.

Flexible maintenance concepts

Another activity that is becoming increasingly important for European electronics producers is the verification of machines and systems. What used to be considered a slow and expensive procedure that had to be performed by outside service technicians can now be managed quickly, easily and reliably with new, flexible SIPLACE maintenance concepts.

The new SIPLACE Capability Transfer does much more than convey the necessary know-how to the manufacturer's technicians. As part of the new SIPLACE maintenance concept, it also brings the necessary special tools and toolkits down to the production floor on a licensing or rental basis. Equipped with the right tools and properly trained, the electronics manufacturer's own staff can now perform maintenance and verification tasks in-house. This not only reduces costs, but improves the ability to design maintenance and verification intervals to best meet specific requirements of the producer and his customers.

Glue feeder uses a jet to apply glue to components

The innovative SIPLACE Glue Feeder is expected to be a main attraction at this year's SMT Hybrid show. The unit is shaped like a feeder and can be set up like one on SIPLACE placement machines, but it uses a jet to spray adhesive on individual components.  With the SIPLACE Glue Feeder, keeping heavy components in place, for example on double-sided boards, is now much cheaper and more flexible than with special line-bound gluing stations.
